Brad Fenson has a passion for hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and conservation. Larry Weishuhn is a professional wildlife biologist/outdoor writer, book author, artist, after-dinner speaker, podcaster, outdoor television and radio show celebrity. As professional wildlife biologist he has established quality wildlife management programs on well over 12,000,000 acres. As an outdoor writer/television show host he has written well over 4,000 feature articles, columns and blogs, as well as authored or co-authored eight award-winning books and written chapters for many others; he has appeared in over 500 outdoor television show episodes. He currently co-hosts the weekly “A Sportsman’s Life” with Luke Clayton and Jeff Rice, and, the new “The Journey” with Brandon Houston both seen on CarbonTV.com and elsewhere. Darron McDougal
Darron McDougal, a full-time freelance outdoor writer, has resided in central Wisconsin for his entire life, except for a 2-year jaunt during which he and his wife, Becca, traveled and lived in a fifth-wheel camper. Becca often hunts with Darron and is an integral part of his publishing success, capturing professional-grade photography that often accompanies his articles. The McDougals do minimal deer hunting around their home. Instead, they love to hunt DIY-style, primarily on public lands, out west. Hunting unfamiliar territory has its thrills and challenges, and it truly tests a hunter's prowess. Despite the low success odds of this hunting style, Darron has done very well, and he accredits his success and accomplishments to God. So far, he's hunted whitetails in 11 states and harvested deer in nine. He enjoys hunting all sorts of wild game from turkeys to hogs to elk. He also occasionally mentors youth or beginner hunters. While bowhunting is his preferred method, he doesn't think twice when a rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader hunt fits his schedule. Ryan Fair
Ryan is an avid outdoorsman and photographer. He has been published in several different outdoor publications. He is most passionate about chasing whitetails, turkeys, and waterfowl. If he's not hunting you can find him on his boat somewhere with a rod in his hand. His main focus on writing is hunting and fishing tactics. Gord Nuttall
Gord Nuttall is an enthusiastic outdoorsmen and award-winning freelance writer that spends countless hours enjoying and promoting recreational activities outdoors. Led by his father, he wet many lines trolling for lake trout along the rugged shorelines of Lake Superior and developed a passion and love for the rugged outdoors early in his life. During the spring and summer months, he explores the diverse Alberta landscape with his wife, Heather and their two children, Noah and Makynna. TJ Schwanky
T.J. Schwanky is one of Canada’s most prolific outdoor writers, penning nearly 1,500 articles since he began writing in 1986. He is also host and producer of Canada’s longest-running hunting television series, Outdoor Quest TV, now in its 24th season of broadcast on Sportsman Channel Canada. TJ has a passion for big game hunting and has hunted on six continents, but his real love is hunting sheep, elk, moose and deer in North America. He has taken a grand slam of North American sheep and has several animals in the record books with rifle and muzzleloader. TJ is recognized as an expert on mountain hunting and long-range shooting and lives in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. Kat Ainsworth Stevens loves nothing more than a day spent in the woods or on the water. She has hunted all over the country for everything from deer to ducks to alligators. Her fishing endeavors range from setting juglines for catfish to catching rainbow trout in mountain streams. And while she’s out hunting, fishing, hiking, and boating, she’s putting gear through its paces. Kat is a seasoned outdoorswoman with decades of experience in various activities. In addition to her outdoor activities, she is a certified firearms instructor with an extensive background in firearms, edged weapons, and use of force.
